What is the solution for an obsessively over-ytical mind?
An ytical mind can be a great gift if used for it's intended purpose. It is said that the mind makes a wonderful servant but a terrible master. Not only is it true that a problem at one level of consciousness can only be solved at a higher leve. it is also true that every problem holds the solution. The solution is inherent in the problem or there would exist no problem. From a higher perspective there is indeed no problem. The problem exists only in the mind. The moment you step out of the hall or mirrors the problem disapears because it doesn't really exist but in the imagination of the mind. To attempt to solve a "problem" of the mind at the level of the mind as you know cannot be done. To solve your "problem" you must then step out of the mind and in so doing you are taking the power of your consciousness via your attention away from the mind and like a car without gas it will not run. This is done with the practice of meditation. This is done with engaging in creative acts and in occupying your time with the things you love to do. Time seems to vanish and with it all of the problems you think you have. The mind cannot function out of time. In meditation there is no time as in creative action time vanishes. This is the key. When you are ready you will apply it to the chains of your mind. Be Well
