How do you see the number of a person calling as restricted?

i ve heard if you get this thing you can let the phone ring longer it will show the real number of the person calling. i have an old flip phone from verizon. Can i get this or how else can i deal with this problem? without leaving it to the voicemail..cuz if they dont leave a voice mail then what? CAnn anyy11 helppp
