Getting a job at Hot Topic?

Everyone says my image is too clean cut to work there, but I love the fact that they are pretty much all about the music and I think I can fit the image nicely. I was just wondering what to wear to job interviews (I was thinking skinnies, Converse, band tees, flannels, e.t.c.) and if anyone knows whether or not Hot Topic is really that "?"
