Michal Myers : Halloween 1-6?

Okay so im sitting here watching AMC and they are playing Halloween Series. So they played number 1 .. where lil mike is introduced ..then they skipped right to number 4 where laurie is gone. Ive heard number 3 has nothing to do with the series at all so thats whatever .. but what the hell happend in number 2? Where is Laurie?? I know Jamie is her daughter .. and Rachel is the girl she babysat .. but where the hell did she go? Give me a complete summary people!!
